ACCOUNTING CERTIFICATE
The Accounting Certificate Program develops students' abilities to understand business transactions and financial statements and to determine the most appropriate financial measures for those events. This program is approved by the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers -NACPB
ADOBE ESSENTIAL DESIGN CERTIFICATE
If you like to create, but don't have the computer skills to illustrate your ideas, the Adobe Essentials Design Certificate will provide you with the experience on the applications needed to succeed in modern design.
CERTIFICATE IN GRAPHIC DESIGN
The Certificate in Graphic Design prepares those who wish to pursue a career in Graphic Design and advance their professional portfolio. This comprehensive certificate consists of 13 required courses which provide students the theory and hands-on applications needed to succeed as a Graphic Designer.
CERTIFICATE IN INTERPRETATION STUDIES

This certificate concentrates on employment in legal and medical settings. Students will be exposed to a variety of settings such as: court interpreter, legal agencies, hospital clinics and any other health facilities. Covering consecutive and simultaneous interpretation and sight translation. (Six required courses)

Requirements: Fluency in English and Spanish with strong writing skills in both languages. Students must also take a placement test and pass an oral interview.
CERTIFICATE IN LEGAL STUDIES
Whether you are interested in a career as a paralegal or are preparing to apply for law school, our Certificate in Legal Studies helps you achieve your goal. The program consists of five required courses.
CERTIFICATE IN MEDICAL INTERPRETING

The Certificate in Medical Interpreting is a 48-hour certificate program in Health Care and Social Services Interpreting. The program covers basic and advanced interpreting skills, medical terminology, code of ethics and standards of practice, cross-cultural communication, memory development and note-taking, intonation makeover for less accented speech and the U.S. healthcare system. By successfully completing this program, the student will meet a key prerequisite of National Certification for Medical Interpreters. Optional 150-hour shadowing practicum at one of the NYC area hospitals is available upon successful completion of the 48-hour program.

CERTIFICATE IN PERSONAL FINANCIAL PLANNING
This certificate provides an understanding of the finance decision-making process and insights into how financial markets function.
CERTIFICATE IN TRANSLATION STUDIES

This certificate is ideal for native or fluent Spanish speakers with strong English language skills. Students gain the skills to succeed as translators for translation agencies, newspapers, magazines, law firms, the financial industry and publishing companies. (Six required courses)

COMBINED CERTIFICATE IN TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION

Students receive instruction in both fields, expanding work opportunities. (Nine required courses)

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE
The International English Language Institute (IELI) is part of Continuing Education Programs at Hunter College of the City University of New York (CUNY), offering courses in English as a Second Language (ESL) in the heart of Manhattan since 1950. The IELI serves thousands of students every year, from over 70 different countries,in courses ranging from Beginner English to Bridge-to-College Level English. We enroll New York City residents, visitors on tourist visas, diplomats, and international students with the aim to prepare students to enter American college or university and business situations by developing accuracy, fluency, and confidence. We are authorized to issue I-20 forms.

We know you can learn to speak Italian fluently with an excellent accent - and we prove it to you at your very first lesson! Our professional Italian teachers are all native speakers, and hold degrees from Italian universities. They are trained in our successful method developed by the founding director Franca Pironti Lally. This method has made us the foremost school of Italian language in the U.S that has been established for 30 years.
